Derby Day Brunch

Tomorrow is Derby Day!

The oldest continuous sporting event in America
dating back to 1875.

That's a long time!
And it all takes place in
TWO MINUTES

Remarkable.
Exciting.
Legendary.

So tomorrow we will have
a little Derby Day brunch
 to honor the event.

I set the table with a blue ribbon theme.

The beautiful moss-covered handmade
running horse topiary is from my friend, Carolyn,
who has a shop on Etsy called Villa Topiary.

I have posted about her before
and have mentioned her on
 my Instagram posts as well.
So talented.
Please check out
her items for sale HERE.

Thanks for stopping by!

Enjoy your Kentucky Derby Day.
Hope you pick the winning horse!

Hi Alison! As soon as I saw the horse topiary I wanted to know where you got it, I will have to go to her etsy shop and look around! Love ALL the details of your table and hope your horse wins!!!!
As for my bamboo flatware, I don't remember but I probably got it at Marshalls/Home Goods. I have seen it other places though so Google b rown bamboo flatware and you might find some. XO, Pinky

Love the Derby and your blog. A gentle correction: The Upperville Colt and Horse Show has been in continuous existence since 1853.
