Country Finds

If you saw Friday's post
about our visit to Josie's
fabulous farm filled with antiques....
this is part two.
(See first post below.)

This is only my half of what we bought
while at the farm, my half.....
 didn't think to photograph
Jenn's purchases.

Now remember,
I bought these things to sell not to keep.
(At least I keep telling myself this!)

I always try to buy what I like
with the hope that someone
else will like it too.
Take a look.

Is there anything here that you like?

Set of 3 vintage ceramic canisters sitting on an antique pine oval mirror.

Nice garage ceiling!

Greek key border in a silvery powder blue.

Five old cutting boards.... different shapes and sizes. Instant collection!

Vintage hotel hot water bottle/decanter sitting on one of two old iron chairs.

(Bottom of the hotel water pot)

Old wardrobe suitcase, extra large with embossed leather trim.

The top of one of the chairs..... they are not that old but are new to me!

We have some serious PIGGIE collectors that buy anything and everything we can find for them!

Not your average pigtails!

Large MALTED MILK bottle with original lid.
Extra large English ironstone bowl.

Two sweet suitcases with great details, a vintage radio and a fraternity trophy.

Vintage Philco tube radio.... uper heavy, stripes on the sides and a great woven case.

Vintage fraternal trophy.... 10"  tall.

Check out this woven loose weave jute tablecloth that  I got for a prop.....  love it!

I love everything you bought and wish I could have it for my shop. It is strange how we kinda pick the same things to buy and sell. I always have cutting boards and especially pigs. That odd chair is divine. I have never been a big fan of old luggage, but I know every one else is. I hope you have a lot of luck and sell it all soon. Richard at My Old Historic House.

Those matador chairs are from Pier One! I just sold four of them! I wanted to keep them but I was going in circles trying to find a spot! LOL!

Great stuff. Love the cutting boards. I have seen a pig one at a place here. Everybody here seems to decorate their booths here with that jute netting.

I do love those cannisters and that is one of the richest looking old suitcases I've ever seen! Love it! I'm always looking for just the right trophy cup. I actually found one in Geneva once and walked out without it. That's before I knew how much they go for! Great ironstone bowl too. You do have a good eye but I knew that! ;)

I saw several things that I love. The canister set is great, love it, so cute with the little cinnamon one. Love the malted milk jar, the suit cases, the Philco radio (so awesome on a bookshelf propping up some books). You made some very good choices. Did you bring anything home for you?
So much fun!

Such wonderful finds. Love the piggie boards. I saw some new ones at HomeGoods the other day, but there is something special wondering about the history of older boards. I really like that mirror too. You always find the greatest stuff!

The canister set is def. my favorite. I have difficulty passing up old cutting boards and have a few piggies myself. Unfortunately, I do not have a shop in which to sell them!
(Same thing with old mirrors.)
