Favorites on the First: PLAID TIDINGS

D e c e m b e r ?

Really?
How did that happen?!?

Welcome to
Favorites on the First!

As you know,
we are sharing
any
plaid or tartans
that mix into our
holiday decor.

(Changed out the wreath on the door!)

Please link a post or two
to share with us --
just make sure you have plaid
or tartan in the post, ok?

(These photos were taken last year,
right before Midwest Living came for the photo shoot.)

The tack room ready for the holidays.

In the meantime,
I am in the attic today pulling down
all the holiday plastic bins with Mr. PH.
Both kids were home for the holiday
but have gone back -- one to CA last night
and the other to VT this morning
before the sun was up.)

:(
Sad to see them go.....

Now to get my "holiday" on around here
for when they come home again
for Christmas.

Link up below.
Can't wait to see what you have to show
for your version of
"Plaid Tidings".

xox~

Your tartan decor is amazing, simply gorgeous, I am smitten with every part of your lovely home. I am crazy about the two chairs and I hope I'd love to find tartan material to redo a couple I have like that!

Love your plaid, and I found the cutest plaid enamelware mugs at the second hand store today. If I can do a really quick post, I'll link up tomorrow ;o) I made your corn bread for Thanksgiving and we loved it.

Your Christmas decor is to die for…I love plaid, but I don't use hardly any in our holiday decor other than our stockings and napkins! I just don't have them out yet. If I get them out before your linky goes down, I'll share!

Alison, your holiday decorations were beautiful last year! I know this year will be the same. I am in the middle of pulling out my décor also. Had to get my porch decorated to join your party. I am mad about plaid! So excited to see what others have to share!
hugs,
Jann

Alison, your kids will be back home in a blink of an eye. Christmas is only a few weeks off. I won't get any decorating done this week, but hope to start next weekend. It's fun to look back at our Christmases past. You know all the plaid and tartan at Polohouse makes me smile. I'd love to spend an hour or two in that gorgeous tack room. Thanks for hosting Favorites each month. Can't wait to see more of this year's Christmas decor. ~ Sarah

Mr. Jockey Statue sure was a good find. I have loved seeing him pop up in your posts every since he started calling your home his home. Such a gentleman he is holing the Christmas lantern to welcome the guests.

I don't have any plaid tidings to share but I wanted to comment on your beautiful garland around your entry. I love the huge pinecones in it. I'm enjoying seeing all the beautiful Christmas decor and I know there is more coming this week. Pam

Gorgeous . . . everything!

My bins are out and waiting for me to dig in . . . not much in plaid but I do have a few saved handmade ornaments that make their way on my tree each year. And they each have some plaid . . . I will link up soon . . .

Thanks for hosting this monthly party - always fun! Especially this month with all of the plaid - I can hardly wait to check out all of the posts. You asked about the runner in my post. I made it out of flannel shirt material available at JoAnn's. Hope you enjoy this festive month!!! Sally

I enjoyed it as always, Alison! You are such an inspiration. I intended to join in, but just never got around to it, because I'm still decorating!

Hi Alison,

Your front entrance is so pretty. The large pinecones are so much fun and I think I need more:) They look perfect above your door and I like the plaid touches (the horse in the kitchen..love it!)

Hope you are enjoying the festivities of the season!
