Plaid Tidings: Favorites on the First's December Theme

A scene here a few years ago... using my old lunchboxes.

Thank you to my sweet friend,
who ever so kindly reminded me
that I had not yet announced the
December theme for
Favorites on the First!

I haven't posted on anything
TARTAN
or
PLAID
for a while and I think it is
high time
that we show off some of our
holiday decor where it crosses
into the land of plaid!

Vintage battery-operated Santa lanterns.

Chip holding a lantern with a plaid bow at the front door last year.

I collect tartan table linens, do you?

Yards and yards of plaid silk ribbon gets tucked into the tree.

The lunch box collection comes out in full force.

So please,
please come back
on the 1st and share with us
how plaid or tartan
is used in your home to celebrate
the holiday season, ok?!?

Bring on your
plaiditude,
won't you?

Plaid bows -- inside and out.

See you on the first!

xox~
Alison

P.S. Thanks, Karen!

Oh, Allison! You need the two vintage plaid bowling bags I recently stumbled upon. I, too, love plaid....but never seem to be able to display it to my satisfaction in actuality :)

I'm always on the pursuit for plaid, so this will be a fun one for me. Now I just need to remember to get it posted! Sally

I love seeing the plaids . . . there was a time I used them more . . . I may have one or two ideas mixed in with my Christmas things . . . I will check . . .

I love the tartan red plaid. I found a reindeer at TJ Maxx this year, covered with it! Yay!

Alison, thanks for the heads up. You inspired me to pull out my Christmas photos using plaid and tartan. I'll be there on the first for Plaid Tidings!
Just bought a pair of tartan shoes at Saks. I'll send you the link. Pretty cute! '-)

Looking forward to seeing all of the beautiful posts! By the way, I LOVED your home in Midwest Living, I even had my sister in the Midwest buy 5 copies so I could share them here where I am.

Alison,
Plaid is my favorite. I'm not sure I have enough of it in my Christmas stash to qualify, but if I do, I'll be back on the first. I plan to start the process this weekend.
Enjoy your Thanksgiving.
xo,
Karen
