February Flakes

Let it snow.
Let it snow.
Let it SNOW!

Finally...

... February 7th
and we are getting
some accumulation
here in Illinois.

Cada on point,
with blurred snowflakes falling

We've had
a few dustings,
but nothing
to speak of
until now.

I know many
of you in the Northeast
are gearing up for two
MAJOR
storms that will converge
 bringing hefty snow levels
in the double digits.
Get ready.

We're only looking
at maybe 8-10 inches.

I love it.
What's winter
without
 a lovely snowfall?

Soooo pretty,
don't you think?

Feeling very nostalgic looking at those breathtaking pictures... they remind me so much of the deep, beautiful snows we would get during my childhood in the North Carolina mountains. Looking at this post is like looking at a beautiful holiday card.

So pretty! I love when it sticks to the trees. Yes, here in NJ, we are bracing for the blizzard due to hit our area tomorrow into Saturday. I think we are supposed to get 10-14 inches where we live but Boston is supposed to get a couple feet! We sure have had some crazy weather this year!

It is beautiful Alison....but it's so much prettier because it's at your house and not mine. Ha ha!!!
I love the snow...if I don't have to be driving to work in it. UGH!
Your pics are gorgeous though and makes me want to run out and play in the snow.

So that's whats headed our way, huh! So much for all my complaining about a snowless winter! About to head out to pick up a few extra things, was at the market and in gas lines at 7am!

I must say it is beautiful and your pictures do the storm justice:)

IT IS LOVELY BUT I WOULD RATHER IT STAY IN THE MOUNTAINS AND I CAN GO VISIT IF I LIKE.

How incredible. I am jealous, we've had nothing this year. I agree with you, what's winter without a little snow?

Yes, the snow is beautiful and i especially love it when the snow stops falling, the grey is gone and the sun comes out in the bluest of skies and shines on the snow...
