Planting Color Seeds

flora colors

Am I the last
person to know
about

It is a blog
written by Jessica
celebrating her love
of
color!
She is a genius.
I think you will agree.

is one of
the most clever
and useful websites
 I have seen
in a long while.

I found it on Pinterest
last weekend ...
by accident.
Wanted to share it
in case you did not
know about it either.

This website shows a
beautiful photo and then
pulls out the colors within
and gives you a palette
of these shades.

So let's say you have just one
very particular shade of
blue
that you want to work into
your room but you
are not exactly sure
what other colors you wish
to incorporate with it.

Well, just sit back
and let
Design-Seeds
inspire you.

Maybe you are painting
your house's exterior
and you are looking for
colors for your door, shutters,
clapboard, trim and window boxes?

Or maybe you are trying to
decorate your cottage beach house
and you want to make sure
all your blues or tan sandy tones
are mixing nicely?

This is the place to explore
all your options.

So many gorgeous images.

So many interesting palettes.

My favorite photos
are the ones
that are taken from nature.
God's own color palette!
Now that's really cool, right?

So now that you know about this
site, it might inspire you to put
together colors you may not have
contemplated before.

Check it out
and let me know
what you think, ok?

Nice to hear from you again! (hug) This color seed thing is amazing. I am going to do that with my 'redo' of my living room. I am CRAZY over turquoise and yellow, lately. I see it everywhere I go. I noticed it yesterday on a billboard for McDonald's advertising a new drink. Now that is crazy. Hahaha.

Hi Alison:
Such exciting info to find on my first visit to you since my surgery. I have been out of the loop for 5 weeks and so tired of sitting, reading and staring at my back yard and deck. My strength has returned and you were my first site to visit and low and behold there was something new to me called Design Seeds. Must go and visit! Thanks so much for sharing. So good to be back. Will be posting soon!!! ox M.A.

Alison, This is great. The neat thing is that this is the way nature intended the colors to blend.
The good Lord does it right. Love the giraffe and his color palette.
I am headed right over to her Pinterest.
BTW, when does Favorites on the First start? I am ready this time.
Blessings, Ginger
