Alison, Artie from Cross Bottle Guy has copied me on emails he sent for your Giveaway and how to use the Gift Cert; I wonder if the wrong email address is listed...that is why I wrote you here.

Email me at kalbert1@kc.rr.com or better yet; directly to artie.vanderpool@gmail.com, he wondered why he had not heard back from you. He is excited for you to pick your gift(s)

Oh- I love them all. We actually have two of them. One in our dinette area that is built into a big bay window and the other one is in a small sitting room in the front of our house-xo Diana

Alison, I love the look of a nook for relaxing or a banquet for dining. My grandmother had a banquet in her kitchen when I was a little girl. Such fun memories of that spot! We have a bay window with seat in our living room, but don't use it for a sitting area. I have it filled with blue and white pieces filled with plants. If we ever build a house, I plan to include a cozy window seat in which to relax in the sunshine. Great images. Thanks for sharing them. ~ Sarah

I love window seats, Alison! I had a nice long one in our great room at the old house. When we added that room on it was one of the things I asked for, plus it provided extra seating in that room.

I have several window seats and a kitchen baguette, and none of them look as nice as the ones in the pictures.

I adore window seats...My carpenter has already been here to give me an estimate of a window seat in my dining room....Just need to make the decision and get it done!!...They are all so beautiful...

Alison,
We have a window seat that we had built into what used to be our dining room. We used to put the kids at the end of the table using the window seat as their seating for large family dinners. We switched the rooms (living room became dining room) and the window seat now provides a great place to sit and read or watch the rain. The final image in your post is my favorite, wouldn't it be fun to have a built in bed with bookcases and window available without leaving bed? That's the best.

Great assortment - I especially like the ones with thick & soft-looking cushions...

We don't have a built-in window seat presently (DID have one in a former home).

LOVE this post. I do have a small window seat/bench in our back stairhall which I am having fun working on. The actual seat is nearly ready then I get to work on adding pillows, and trim, my favorite part!
SO many fabulous examples here....wish I had more benches!

I've always wanted an old Victorian house with lots of nooks and crannies and windowseats! All perfect for my favorite pastime of reading. We have made the decision to stay put in our modern, no character, house so I am planning at this very moment to add a wall of built ins in my granddaughter's room - to include a small window seat. I hope it turns out half as good as some of these pictures.

Allo! Alison,

I wish I had a banquette. They look soooooo nice tucked away in a cozy little corner. Very inviting.....I agree! I would chose a banquette with a storage area...multi-purpose.

I love all of them in the photos lol :o)

Thanks! for sharing.

Have a sunny day!

Blessings & Hugs,
Marlene
