Back on Track

You may have noticed,
my blog has been down
for almost a week,
but I think I have finally
resolved the malicious virus issue.

Oh my heavens!
Has this happened to you?

A blog stops by to visit you
and brings with it a virus?

My blog was never infected,
but had a pop up warning box
that would not go away.

I did not know what to do.

New little inlaid wooden box.

Tried everything.....
watched youtube tutorials,
wrote urgent notes to all the
listed authorities and heard nothing
in response. Not even sure what
finally resolved the problem....
if it is in fact resolved!

I hope it never happens to you.

Small white porcelain Wedgewood pitcher with a dog handle and hunt scene.

In the meantime, I did get to go
shopping at some great estate sales.
Have to keep
the shop stocked with "smalls."

I also got to shop at a spring
fling event at one of the local
gift shops in my area. My friend, Joy,
from SavvyCityFarmer blog was there
participating in the sale/show,
selling some of her antique
and vintage collectibles too!

Do you know sweet Joy?

I bought this large silver pierced-edge
trophy shaped pedestal bowl.

Love at first sight....swoon.

Such pretty details. Thanks for finding it Joy!

Have you found anything fun lately?
Do tell!

Glad you are back. Maybe it was just your computer telling you to take a break and go shopping?

I wish I could have helped, Alison, but I am useless with technology. I had something similar happen and I handed it off to my husband. He took him a whole day, but he took care of it for me. I have no idea how those things attach themselves without our clicking on a bad website. Anyway, glad to have you back!

Technical issues are such a pain. Glad you're back on track. Wish I had been able to go to the event. Joy's a buddy. I've know her for many years. Love your finds.

I am so happy you resolved your issues with your blog. I have heard of similar things happening to others, and I do not want it happening to me!!!

I have not found anything fabulous, but I am going on a field trip to Chelsea Antiques with my sorority, so hopefully I can find something fun. (Don't get too excited...it is Chelsea, Alabama, not Chelsea in London!)

Yikes! Glad you got it all fixed. That would not be nice at all and I'd be so upset. So would hubby! I've read of two bloggers recently who lost their blogs - bam! but got them back. I've found some treasures last week which I will share soon. Hugs, Pamela

Hi! Alison,
Sorry! to hear of the computer bug. I had that happen to me a few years back. Not fun :o(

Pleased your back posting. I love all your new finds. Sweet!

We still have snow in this area so, the treasure hunting is not in full force yet. Can't wait!

Thanks for sharing.

Have a sunny week!

Blessings & Hugs,

Glad to hear that your computer is back up and working again. I recall something similar happening to our computer many years ago and we had to get a friend to fix it for us. Ever since then, my husband runs a spybot check and other virus protection scans to keep it from happening again. So scary!

Alison,
That's scary that a visiting blogger could give your site a virus, I guess that's no surprise but still. The little white pitcher is a pattern by Wedgewood that I used to have on my eBay search. I never found any of it. I've forgotten the name of the pattern but it's great for those of us equine enthusiasts.
Glad you're back.

Glad you're "back in the saddle"! No, this hasn't happened to me, but now that I've said that, watch out! Great find on the silver bowl! Can never have too much of anything on a pedestal! Good shopping!

So sorry about all your computer problems...I use Wordpress as recommended by many in the field of computer software development....But there are some drawbacks as they do not accept anything with JavaScript..

No shopping lately...I am drooling over your trophyesqe double handled bowl...That is a beauty!!

Alison, so good to have you back. Sorry you've had to deal with this. Frightening!
Love these tartan vignettes. Are those fabulous boxes yours? May I pin them?
I'm thrilled to share the news of what's new here. We brought home a sweet Lhasa last Saturday. She is a rescue dog, four years old. Sadie is the sweetest girl with the best temperament. Can't begin to tell you how excited we are to have this wonderful dog move in with us. ~ Sarah

Alison, The pedestal bowl is very gorgeous and I love how you used it for displaying those lovely soaps. I really need to check out the estate sales in the area, instead of yard sales. :)
