Valentine Vignette

I wonder whose baby this was?  A famous cupid photo image taken a hundred years ago.
And I think I've seen this print in every antique shop I have ever stepped foot in!

This is my little collection
of Valentine things at the entry....
the not-so-red version.

I know these little shoes aren't officially Valentine-ish, but some little angel wore them,
and cupid was an angel....so it works, right?! Okay, so it's a stretch.    :)

Winged angel heads on my candlesticks turned lamps.

That's number two of four Valentine
theme posts.... two more to come soon!

Love the little shoes - I used shoes (bronze and my girls ballet shoes) in my V-day decor this year.

Bonsoir! I adore this vignette. The shoes are extra sweet! I especially love the cupid. The child in the photo is Josephine Anderson, the daughter of a friend of the actual photographer, M.B. Parkinson. I have the print in a large convex glass from 1897, hanging with my other angel prints. She brings a smile to me every morning! Lovely post darling. Merci!

Alison, I'm thrilled you are sharing these valentine posts. Each one is a treat! Your entry hall vignette is charming. Love the little shoes. I have a small collection of these that I've picked up over time at Round Top antique shows. Some are so interesting. I need to do a post on these little treasures. I group mine together in a bowl. ;-)
