Fuzzy Lovies.

This is Simba.

This is Cicada or "Cada".

My golden shadow, Hallie. (She follows me everywhere.)

And this is our Mama's boy, Max.

Max has been here the longest,
and rules the roost --
dogs and humans included.

The dogs are afraid of him
but he adores Simba,
his little adopted shelter kitty sister.

Cada, the black lab,
came to live with us four summers ago
when our yard was invaded with
thousands of 17-year cicadas.

That tiny little stinker ate every single
nasty black beetle
she could sink her needle-y puppy teeth into!
(So we named her after them.)

Hallie came into our lives
two summers later
and the two could not be better buddies.
At two years old, Cada kicked into
Mommy-mode
and coddled and nurtured
the new little golden.

So now you've met our
4 fuzzy four-legged lovies.

I cannot
imagine
our lives without them.

No matter how bad my day is,
I can always count on coming home
and being greeted by wagging tails.

Unconditional,
loyal,
reliable,
endless love.

Gotta love it!

Hope you will come by
on February 1st and share
your puppy, kitty, birdie,
turtle, mouse, or whatever pet
you love with all of us
at
Favorites on the First
linky party!

I agree, living with pets is a wonderful life. We are without a pet now, but have been seriously discussing adopting one. Perhaps before the 1st?
You have some cuties! ~ Sarah

You have a great group of sweeties. I don't know what I'd do without my two little fur girls. I'm feeling a little queasy over all the cicadas, I guess they're a puppy delicacy! yum!

At our house, we say we should try to be more like our golden retriever -- he never gets mad, is always happy to see everyone, and is easy to please. Wouldn't it be great if humans were like that?

I have an entirely lacking menagerie, for a vet....many of my staff have an insane amount of pets (rescued ones, of course), but I only have my rescue cat and dog, and two guinea pigs. I can't wait to add to our fur family, but seeing as how our two legged family is growing in a few short weeks, much to my daughters dismay, we'll be waiting a wee bit longer until we add more four leggeds =)

I guess I'm a kitty collector myself. When Charlotte first came to us she would stand in the window eating all the flies. It used to gross me out now I miss her doing it....I hate flies.
Love that you shared your family with us.

Sweet fur babies! Max looks exactly like a kitty that I used to have named Charlie. I'll be at the party on the 1st!

Love them all. They are all so cute. I too have a huge mama's boy cat who follows me everywhere, and is the boss of all the rest. I love knowing other crazy animal lovers like ourselves!
