Shut the Front Door!

It was sunny this morning
but now it's gray
with a little rain
mixed in here and there.

Wanted to share
some of the outside scenes
here at the Polohouse.

Oops. Should have hidden the orange twine there holding the cornstalks!

So sorry,
but I haven't been online much lately.

Took on a full time design job working
for a friend who just bought
a French-style country house
and I am helping her to decorate it!

Will share some pics on that
and the little fall scene
on my back porch next time.

See you soon!

See you soon friend! xoxoxoxox

Love your outside fall goodies. I was thinking about getting some stalks and tying them to our columns out front, too. Great minds think alike. ha ha. I can't wait to see the job you are working on.

All gorgeous, Alison. I like the use of the burlap bag below the gourds. I'm going to take the idea for myself. Thanks!
Congratulation on the design project. I'll be eager to see the photos. I know you'll do something spectacular. French style country - can't wait!

I so enjoyed seeing your outside fall decor. Just as pretty as I would have expected.

Do you remember where you got the large black urn? We are looking for some for our church.

Your home looks amazing all done up for fall. I got to make this comment finally, looks like your problem has been solved. I hope it stays that way. Thanks, Richard from My old Historic House.

All of your autumn decorations are so pretty. Love that wheelbarrow with the feed sack hanging out of it! We had some corn stalks in the garden in August. Leo burned them before I could save a few for decorating!

Alison, if you see some strange "bottle" blonde lurking outside of your front entry and taking pictures and notes, don't worry, it's just me! LOL. Even your front entry belongs in a magazine ... the touches of Fall are festive and gorgeous! Love seeing your stunning grounds, too. And, okay, who get to rake or blow all the pretty leaves I see on your driveway? Have fun decorating ... can't wait to see pics. xo

Hi Alison. Decorating your friend's house sounds like a lot of fun! Even better that you are getting paid for it. Can't wait to see the pictures.

In the meantime, your outdoor pictures are wonderful to enjoy. I love the horse in the flowers, but especially appreciate how you used all the fall colors instead of just orange.

Have a wonderful weekend Alison!
