Junk Bonanza

For those of you who don't know
about the Junk Bonanza,
it is a three day event
held every September in Shakopee, Minnesota
at the Canterbury Race Track.

There are over 130 jury selected vendors
selling antiques and vintage items,
as well as one-of-a-kind and
artisan re-purposed pieces.

It's not your typical antique market,
specializing in a casual
funky junky style of collectibles.

Take a look and you will see what I mean!
The booth displays are something else.

Hunt & Gather's booth display --- always over the top!

Artisan "World Traveler" doll made of vintage items!

Antlers were really big this year.

Lots of vintage classroom pull down maps.

This was "Jacques" --- I wanted to buy him so badly!

Gotta love 'em.

Halloween display

Got these oak filing drawers.

Vintage destination bus blinds and a clothing line inspired by bus blind typography.

This chippy dresser came home with me ... couldn't pass it up.

Check out the patina!

Love the hockey skate shelving.

If these two had been in better shape, I would have adopted them! (Missing arms)

Meet "Velvet" ... a total girly girl.

Iron fence turned lamps.
Got this suitcase and a hanging globe pendant lamp.

This booth was owned by THE sweetest gals. Super busy and great items!

Brought home this floral vase and patchwork scallop edged quilt.
Add a mirror and a 7-Up crate becomes a wall shelf.

If you ever get a chance
to attend this
awesome show....
do it!

Lots of fun
and so many great people
 selling their wares!

I will never ever
miss the JB!

I bought two turtle shells and a faux Staffordshire figure. Now, where to put them?
Have a great week,

What great photos. My head would go into "want overload" I think! So much to see and need and want! What a great way to spend the weekend. And I'm sure it was a lot of work too buying for your shop, then getting it all home. Thanks for sharing it all, and welcome back.

I would need a Uhaul if I ever visited something like this! That stuff is incredible! I love the dresser you came home with. Not so much loving the baby doll heads on weird bodies. Freaks me out a little bit... :o)
