How will you fall?

How will you be decorating this fall?

Will you use all the colors that autumn brings?

Maybe you will stay with a neutral white pallet?

Maybe you prefer a dressier gold or silver version
to accompany your decor?

Or will you focus on the gorey or macabre?

Tell me please....
what's your fall
decorating style?

Oh how I wish this was my truck! How cute!

I've gotta have color! I'm so excited for Fall to arrive. I've gotten a few things out already.

I want that truck too!

Great images from Pinterest! I'm so addicted it's criminal! For Fall I like to use the white pumpkins and dried brown lemons and fresh lemons for a white, brown and yellow color scheme. I may try some glittered pumpkins this year from a tutorial I found on...Pinterest! It actually feels a few degrees cooler here in the Arizona desert!

Oh, I'm with you! I would love to own that truck. My hubby is always looking for a 1948 to 1951 five window pickup.
I have to have color for the Fall!

I decorate with traditional fall colors, and I try to use natural things as much as possible. Last year we grew gourds (it was an accident-I threw decorative gourds in the compost bin and the seeds sprouted.) I also love scarecrows. We put 2 in the yard last year. I guess I'm just a big kid at heart.

I deck out for fall, not Halloween, and I keep it neutral as my house is very pastel and light. Lots of white pumpkins and gold accents. Love these images!!

Alison,
love the photos you showed! I have to have color! I love the traditional browns, oranges, greens and golds. But, then again the white pumpkins are beautiful too! Might have to find a little spot for some white!

This year I have not make up my mind yet. Probably both. I have been infatuated with using blue and white transferware with orange autumn!
Also love neutrals with black. It remains to me seen!

I bring out my white and orange pumpkins, Alison and set them all up and other Fall-like things. Pinecone/leaf type fillers for my cloches and apothecary jars. I put that out, then I intersperse with Halloween and then it's just Fall again until Thanksgiving.

That truck photo is the best. I saw an old "Woodie" for sale yesterday. If I ever win the lottery (I guess that means I need to buy a ticket), I would buy a Woodie as my dream car.

These were inspiring, but I am not ready yet to jump into fall...still hanging onto my cut roses and I got a rebloom on my delphinium! Hey, come by and see what I did with the croquet set...I mentioned your blog.

Love fall to me it suggest a freshness and new beginning. I guess that is left over from back to school days. I like to use lots of white when decorating for fall with splashes of other colors. White pumpkins and gourds when I can find them. Thanks, Laura

Heck, Alison, I don't know.... when the girls were little, I was more of an orange, white, and candy corn gal.

But this year....hmmmmm....I did see an almost all white dining room in the latest issue of Southern Lady Magazine...and it is the prettiest fall dining room I have ever seen....Lots of white linens with tiny little slate blue dots paired with solid white linens, gorgeous summery looking sky blue and white china on persimmon rimmed chargers, and bittersweet berries entwined in the chandy and strewn through the middle of the table among hurricanes with white candles and tiny white pumpkins. China and stemware are rimmed with gold.....it is stunning, and it almost makes me want to paint the walls in my dining room white. Almost. I will use the article as my inspiration, for sure.

I've been drooling over many of these pics over on Pinterest! Let's see ... I'm doing both color and neutral in different rooms because I love both looks this year and couldn't dedicate my entire home to being just one way. :) Can't wait to see what you do!

Great inspirational photos. I think the white is so chic, but I like the old traditonal Fall colors. The truck really is cute. I'd love to have one too for hauling garden plants. :)
I haven't decorated for Halloween since our son was little, but I'd love to put out some pumpkins.
Have a great LaborDay,Alison.

My house has pretty neutral colors in it. Grey walls with white trim and linen colored furniture. I like a lot of neutral + black/white decor and I like to throw a little green or orange color in to the mix.

I have never decorated for Fall. I'm always in denial right up until we get a few inches of snow that stays, which is usually around the end of October. And then it's too late for Fall decorating.

I might change my mind after seeing everyone else's decorating though.
