Market Report

Memorial Day weekend was the season opener
for the Randolph Street Vintage
and Antique Market in Chicago
that I blogged about, remember?

(My son graduated from high school on Saturday
so I have been missing from Blogland lately
and meant to post this earlier but didn't get a chance!)

Anyway.... there were so many great vendors.
What a great shopping day!

This vendor is one of my favorites!

It was a gray misty day but that didn't
stop Jenn (my antique shop business partner)
and me from from shopping like crazy.

Funky fun vintage stuff from a city seller with a great eye.

There were vendors from many states.
We went to an early bird Chicagoland
blogger's party and were there
two hours before the gates opened so we
could shop with the dealers as they were
unpacking--- nothing better than that.

Had to show a shot of Lisa's booth, her blog is The Frenchman's Wife.... go see her here.

The theme for the month was GARDEN!

He should've come home with me...too pricey though.

Handsome fellow.

Great accessories for lake beach cottages....

My friend wants a drug sign for her bar area.

Bust was inscribed "Shakespaniel"

Talented local musicians performed all day.

A shot of our sweet friend Brett's booth... he's from Indiana.

These cute couples were sharing a handsome cab ride with champagne & cheese. The weather didn't dampen their moods!

A pink GE stove --- mint condition!

I wanted this travel sticker covered suitcase coffee table!

Jenn and I had to stop...no room left in the cars.

With two SUV's stuffed to the gills,
we were thrilled with our purchases
and had to rent a truck to deliver the
larger items that wouldn't fit!

A very good day for bargain hunting.
Too much fun.

A special thanks to Sally, the Randolph Street Market's founder and director.
She hosted the local blogger champagne breakfast party.
.
Thanks Sally, so great meeting you!

Try to shop this market
the next time you get to the windy city.
You'll love it.

How fun! Can't wait to see what came home with you. Tell me about Brett... several things in his booth caught my eye (like that mirror), and he's from my neck of the woods. Is the market only once a year?

Congrats to your son!! :)

Looks like it was a wonderful day despite the misty gray. I bet you two could fit a bunch of stuff in those fantastic totes you're sporting. wine and cheese in a horsedrawn carriage also sounds like a lovely way to spend the day. Hope you have a fabulous Friday and wonderful weekend. Congrats to your son on his graduation. Best wishes, Tammy
