The day is nearly over.
Prayers have been said,
food has been served,
and now we are watching
"The Greatest Story Ever Told"
fat-bellied and full
from Easter dinner.
As I was washing the dinner dishes
I looked over to the now empty table.
It's my favorite time of day in the kitchen --
when the evening sun comes through the
windows and hits the table.
