Toppings for your Coffee

via Pinterest

What things have you
got topping your
coffee
table currently?

Perhaps it is
something old ...

something new ...

something collected ...

something blue?

Something fresh and organic ...

something cherished ...

something found while traveling ...

... something passed down from
a loved one.

Here is a brief listing of elements
that can be used
in arranging your coffee table vignette:
- old or new books
- boxes
- trays
- figurine/sculpture
- fresh plants or flowers
- antiques or vintage items
- candles/candlesticks/lanterns
etc.

When arranging your vignette
think of combining
styles, textures, new and old pieces,
and when possible --
add varying heights to the setting.
You can incorporate the colors of your room
into the grouping, and you can
accent a theme you may have
in your home.

All these things combined
will make a perfect setting.

What toppings are
 on your coffee table?

What great vignettes, Alison! I have an oversized coffee table that holds a lot. I currently have a tray holding hydrangeas, mercury glass votive holders, a crown, and a candle. It also has an urn, a clock, and books.

all the settings are beautiful. I'm re-doing our coffee table, so there's nothing on it now.

Your kitchen is just gorgeous! I think the hutch would be so pretty in the same room but I would paint it a deeper neutral shade... a warmer darker grey or a soft gray/green. Not sure what your accent colors are in your home but if you had blues in your home, you could go with a soft gray/blue but then finish whatever you do off with waxes... preferably Annie Sloan waxes -- so soft an easy to apply!

That's what I would do!

Love your picks for great toppers! My coffee table has books and and old pair of foo dogs that I found at a flea market. I love seeing what people place on their tables!

Alison, I'm back to study your tabletops again. Couldn't leave a comment my first visit. These are each full of inspiration. Makes me want to begin anew with the tabletops around our home. You've inspired me! Love the collection of tortoise shell pieces. What a gorgeous collection!

Great ideas for coffee table or buffet tables actually. I currently only have ottomans because we are 'loungers' and always like to put our feet up and the dog lays there too so... anyhow, I might take some of your ideas and incorporate them onto my buffet table that definitely needs a RE-DO! Thanks so much.
