Why, thank you!

 Last week,
Carolyn of Sweet Chaos blog
nominated my blog for
the Versatile Blogger Award.

And just yesterday,
Linda from A Toile Tale blog
nominated me for this award too!

Thanks so much,
Carolyn and Linda!

If you have never met
nor visited these two sweet women
at their blogs, you should do so.

Carolyn at Sweet Chaos blog,

 has a beautiful home
that she shares as she decorates
and remodels. Whatever you do, make sure
you check out her master bath....
one of the prettiest in all of blogland.

Clean, crisp white and blue/gray elegance. Dreamy!

And Linda at A Toile Tale blog
 is an interior designer
and owns a design firm
in the Atlanta area.
She has impeccable taste
paired with a passion
for all things toile
Here is a peek
at her gorgeous home.

Make sure you check out her
tablescapes and the recipes she shares.
Delicious on both counts!

 Upon receiving this award,
these two lovely ladies
have asked me to list
7 things
about myself
that you may not know about me.

It took me a while,
but here is what I came up with:

1.
I love to fish!
(Must catch a muskie before I die.)

2. I am afraid of lightning storms.
(When I was 6 or 7, I was caught at the top of
a country fair's Ferris wheel
with my Aunt Cindy
when lightning struck
and took out all of the power at the fair.
Two kind men had to manually pull us down
from the ride in the pouring rain and lightning.
I will never ever forget THAT!!! So scary.)

3.
In 1986, I met my husband
walking down the street in Chicago.
(He stopped to ask me for directions.)
:)

4.
I have been sketching and drawing
houses and interior room designs
since I was five years old.
(Which leads me to number 5)

5.
I wish I had gone to school
to be an architect.

6.
Every job I have had
since college has
been design-related.
For many years I designed game programs and yearbooks
for several NFL, NBA, and major league baseball teams
around the country.

7.
The person I admire most
is my mother, Pat,
for so many reasons.

Thanks so much Linda and Carolyn!
I am so honored and appreciate this
kind gesture immensely.

And last but certainly not least...
here are the blogs that I would
like to nominate for the Versatile Blogger Award!

I hope you will link on each one and
check them out. They inspire me
and I know you will enjoy their posts too.

I'd be afraid of storms if I got stuck on a feris wheel too. Then again, I'm always terrified I'll get trapped on one of those things anyway! Thank you for honoring me with this award.

How fun that you met your husband walking down the street!! Love that! Don't love the ferris wheel story... that scares the heck out of me. I wanted to be an architect until I realized I had to be good at math and art. Now I'm more like George Costanza... "I always wanted to pretend to be an architect. " :) Hope you're having a great weekend, and thanks for your kind words. You're the best!
