Do you ever focus on ...

This was taken this morning.

Do you
find yourself
focusing your camera
on just one thing
in your yard
over and over again?

This was taken two falls ago.

This was a rainy day taken last year in May.

For me
it is this old metal
horse bracket.

And again a few months later last summer.

Last August.

A foggy evening in the fall.

And this is what it looked like after a snowfall.

Kind of fun to
watch the seasons change
behind one constant object,
isn't it?

What do you
focus on?

The cupola is one of my faves too!

I loved seeing the change of seasons! Hope you are doing well on your side of the lake. I am working full time now and Barb has moved to Florida full time. Life is moving quite fast but all is well! Happy Summer!

Gorgeous! I loved seeing the seasons change. I pinned your cupola. So pretty :-)

That is really interesting. I guess inside I focus on my china cabinet because I decorate it with the changing seasons. And outside, spots in the yard I guess. It's nice to see the changes around one particular thing. Have a great day tomorrow.

I love it- What a great thing to focus on -it has so much character it can stand all on its own but it is fun to see the changes around it, too.

I don't think I focus on any one thing...oh...wait...I do- Does SweetCheeks count?;>) xo Diana

The horse is so interesting and says so much about Polohouse! I seem to gravitate towards things I have arranged on my outdoor table at the lake. Whether freshly sliced watermelon or a lantern, it all speaks summer! :)

Alison, I agree, it's fun to focus on something and see how the surroundings change with the seasons.
I'm off to go swing a bit on your post below. I miss our porch swing. ~ Sarah

Your horse bracket is great, Alison. It makes for a nice focus piece to show off your garden and the seasons. It looks like it's in the perfect spot, too.

I think I tend to focus on my pups a little much, but I can't help myself!
I love your photos thru out the changing seasons. I also tend to get caught up looking at my past photos...
as I'm guessing you did today!

Hi Allison
Your pictures are beautiful and yes, I do tend to be drawn to certain elements and keep shooting them... sometimes I wonder if people think I have nothing else to shoot.
Thanks for stopping by, the French Market is open to the public and it is held in Tipton IN at Horton's. Not at Donna's home, she is the event coordinator. I will be posting more on the event

I love the seasons as seen through the metal horses eyes. :-) Yes, I find I take pictures of the same parts of my yard, in my case its a concrete sun dial in my knot garden.
You have such a pretty yard.

I think I focus on what doesn't have dust on it.

I was hoping you would show it in the snow! I love it in all seasons. Somehow Fall just grabs my heart though. This is NEW, as I get older. Don't know why:):) XO, Pinky

Allison -
Oh, my gosh! The cutline under your first photo says "this was taken today", and I read it to mean that someone took it, as stole it. I was relieved to read on and learn that it was the photo that was taken, not the bracket!!! I love it and I'm sure you would miss it if someone really did "take it". Duh!
