Well, Great Britain....
the much anticipated day is here!
There has been so much talk,
so much speculation....
for weeks, for months...
and now it's history.
Congratulations Kate and William!
Congratulations to the lovely couple. |
There are so many things to love about England.
The architecture, authors, their teas
and scones, their hats, the pottery and china,
and let's not forget Hugh Grant.
But more than anything....
I love, love, love
Burberry Classic Nova Check.
I love its civilized placement
of colors and stripes converging
in just the right spots,
quite lovely really.
Some people think I am obsessed with it.
Just because I had my car painted like it? |
Or that I bought this for myself
on Ebay last year?
Or that my hubby bought this London two-flat for me for our 25th anniversary this year? |
It's even part of my Christmas decor. |
You don't find this obsessive, do you?
Do you? |
Just kidding!
(Okay, all but the ribbon on
my Christmas tree.)
What's your favorite British passion?

Harry!
Cute post, Alison! Favorite British passion ~ afternoon tea. Love the Burberry Classic as well though. Great images. ;-)
Beautiful couple. I do think the British monarchy has a bright future. ~ Sarah
...can i have more than one...agatha christie...miss read...stone thatched houses...red doors... wellies...old dogs... winston churchill's underground bunker... cluttered country homes (with entry tables piled high with mail and books and dog leashes)...walking sticks...closets under the stairs...and someone with a beautiful voice singing the white cliffs of dover...
My MIL bought me a classic Nova Check bag with matching cellphone cover a few years back. It's one of my favorite little bags. I'd have to say my fave British item would be a nice set of wellies. Practical & good looking, too. Great images! Thanks for sharing.
Like France, I love all things "Britt" too. Laura Ashley tea sets are plentiful in this household. I love the ritual of tea time, although I'd rather have a good cup of Starbucks coffee. I have to say there is a great little restaurant across from Harrods that serves the most wonderful hot chocolate, like pudding and the best ever grill cheese sammy on a cold wet evening of Christmas Shopping. I did find a Burberry outlet, in Portsmouth where, yes I did buy a collar for my son's yellow lab, but it was CHEAP!. Great Post here.
Have a great weekend........

My Mini Cooper made in the U.K. I love it. I also love English gardens and no one writes better mysteries than the British.
Love the burberry! I just posted some Burberry rain boots the other day. Then I thought I'd check the price. You don't even want to know. They're pretty though!
I'm in love with England and hope to live there at some point-when I read your post I was about to email you about a summer home exchange.Darn!Loved the post!

How do you feel about Burberry?

You DID have me "worried" there for a moment!
For me, the accents...relaxed country-style homes...literature...
cathedrals & palaces...English-style gardens...(stealing from Laney, Miss Read)...British comedy on PBS--particularly Keeping Up Appearances.
I have far too many British passions to list them all, but here are a few: English Bone China, English mysteries, English Country Houses, English gardens, and I love the pomp and ceremony of the British Monarchy.
