As night falls

Pulled up the driveway 

last evening just as

the last hour of daylight

was fading.

The leaves have fallen

and the winter cold 

will soon set in --

though we had record temps

here this weekend

following a little snowfall

on Monday.  

My seasonal 

"thick skin" 

has not yet formed

 so every chill in the air

seems to sink 

right to the bone.

Hoping you 

are somewhere warm

and enjoying the last week 

before Thanksgiving festivities 

start to kick in.
