Summer Yard Views

It's July 5th
and we are finally starting to see
some warm days ahead.

No signs of global warming here.

We're anxious for the hot days of summer!

Have been pulling weeds for days and now I'm fighting off the first signs of poison ivy.
Have been so careful and yet I have it  -- little itchy spots popping up. Ugh.

The mulberry trees are loaded with berries so I need to get out there soon
to gather some for a pie or some tarts this week.

The birds are busy gorging themselves with the chubby berries.

Hoping your days are warm
but not too warm this weekend!

Have a great one.
~ A  :)

  2. Your yard/grounds are beautiful - (and I can identify with the poison ivy)!

It's been SO wet it was nearly impossible to mow or weed. The weeds had grown...well, like WEEDS...and I took advantage of any break in the rain to go tug at them (they came out easily; I just couldn't keep up).

I think we still have rain in our forecast through Sunday. At least "pop up showers", as the have taken to calling them here.

  5. Alison, it's definitely summer here. Wish my garden looked as fresh as yous, but it is showing signs of distress. Not as hot a summer as recent summers, and for that we are most thankful. Enjoy your days in this beautiful garden. ~ Sarah @ Hyacinths for the Soul

  10. Lovely grounds and flowers. Most especially those mulberries, used to love picking them as a kid and eating them in a bowl full of sugar! At the Lake enjoying a late sunset tonight. Hope you had a great weekend.

  11. Beautiful yard! It has rained here everyday for two weeks. Our grass is really green but too wet to mow.
