Birchwood logs
are so pretty in the winter.
Their papery white bark
is gorgeous in contrast to green pines.
It was fun finding
photos for this post
of birch used in
holiday decor.

Very pretty images...loved the first one. I love birch all year round
Stunning..I am with you, love birch logs and any kind of birch inspired decor. All sooo gorgeous!
Thanks for sharing Alison. I keep birch logs in one of my nonfunctioning fireplaces. I love the style of them too. Happy Thanksgiving to you and yours!!! xo
Like Ron, we have birch logs in our non-functioning fireplace....I also have one that has holes drilled in it to hold candles which I use as a centerpiece.
I would *love* to ... just need to find some. It just makes any room seem cozier, don't you think? I hope you're doing well and ready for the holidays! Happy Thanksgiving!
A perfect follow-up to your plaid story! They are perfect together. Love the urns with the greens and logs. Susan @ Romancing the Home
So glad you posted about this! I love birch logs and would love to keep some in my fireplace basket. But, where does one find them??
The birch candles from PB are gorgeous, but I'm sure very expensive. We keep birch logs in our fireplace during the summer for decor only...no one dares to burn them!! :)
XO,
Jane

Such pretty pictures with lots of good ideas to steal!! I love white birch. I would love to find a planter like the one in that picture. Hmmm, I will be on the look out. I do have a lovely little white birch basket that I use at Christmas, I love to fill it with greens and pinecones.
Have a Happy Thanksgiving.
XO Terri
Allison -
I love birch all year around. I mix it with so many things. Last week I found a remnant of a birch-patterned fabric. Soooo wonderful. Unfortunately, there is no printing on the salvage and I can't find the manufacturer, because I would love to have lots and lots and lots of it.
Happy Thanksgiving.

I love the birch sawed limbs in with greenery best.

GORGEOUS images Alison! The white birch is my favorite tree! We had one in our front yard and then last year it was killed by birch bores. They're a bug that infests the tree and kills them. I was so sad when the hubs had to cut it down!
Beautiful, all of those photos. I have some birch, but can you ever have enough in December?

I love birch...I am seeing many birch items in Christmas decor this season...even the faux birch tree branches and logs....so beautiful!!
Alison,
I love the birch bark. I don't have any currently in my Christmas decorations but may have to rethink that now that I've seen these great displays.

These are great images, Alison! I may have to find a way to incorporate some into my decor this year! Wishing you and your family a very Happy Thanksgiving!
I love the images with the urns and the belted birch!
Thank you for the birch decor. We are birch lovers. We once lived up in the Adirondacks in upstate NY where birch and pine are prevalent. I have a few logs of birch that has traveled with us from home to home over the years. I too will add a few of the logs in a planter and put it on the front porch. Thanks for the idea! Amy
Love all the buckets with birch and lights shining from them. You've inspired me to get the porch decorating done.
