The wall sconce
in our back hallway
needs to be updated.
So I started looking around
and found
so many wonderful
options that would
possibly work.

Really handsome.... but how DO these work? Seems more like a headlight than a wall sconce, right? link |

Are there any here
that might work in your home
as well?

I love them all. That's why I still have the builder's ones, I can't make a decision on a new one!
I like all of them but I still love the on you have! It is so unique. I'll wait to see what you choose, which I know will be perfect.
Oh wow....so many great options, but in case you didn't know, what you already have is something that would also make me say wow. Sometimes we just need a new lipstick
Alison, I love the one you have too. But I do understand we all need a change once in a while. Decisions? Hmmmm? I can't wait to see what you choose. I love Visual Comfort.
I love your sconce, Alison! Lots of options.
Wow you have so many beautiful ones...I do like yours and also like the Thomas O Brien and Frederick Cooper options, all stunning. Have you also looked at Decorative Crafts? Happy searching, you could put a light bulb in that gorgeous space and make it look fabulous!
Oh, I just drool every time I see your home. You've picked out some lovely lights but I still like the one you have - it's so unusual! Love that sweet little table with the cute vignette on top too.
Be a sweetie,
Shelia ;)
If you change the sconce will you have to change the wallpaper? The attachment is different in your sconce with two wall contacts from what one sees today. I'd hate to lose that wallpaper -- love it!
Wow, I like all the sconces you featured! THe one with the magnifying glass reminds me of the one in Lemony Snicket's Series of Unfortunate Events...it could be dangerous!
Lots of good choices, there. I know you'll make the right one. Happy shopping.
Wow, there is a great selection to choose from. I noticed the 3rd one down with the twin bugles which seem appropriate for your horse/hunt themed home. ;)
Each one is so unique! I love the one you have too! I can't wait to see what you decide!
You have some gorgeous options there! Can't wait to see your choice!

I love them all and cannot wait to see what you have planned.
Beautiful fabric on the bench.
Have a great week, Elizabeth
Alison,
I really like most all of them but the brass one with the brass shade is stunning.
Good luck. By the way, the one that's up looks nice too...are you just tired of it?

What fun to pick out new lighting. You've picked out some pretty ones! The Frederick Cooper at the too is one of my favorites.
I love the ones you have!!! They are stunning. If you MUST change them I love the Frederick Cooper because they look like fox hunting horns!
What a beautiful home you have!
Alison..love your foyer and the light too!...I must say that I so love anything Frederick Cooper...so classic!!
So many beautiful choices. Your hallway is beautiful.
Hi! Alison,
That's a tough one! They are all lovely options(also like the sconce you have now). My choice would be towards the brass or copper sconce. I think either would look stunning with your decor ;o)Love your home!
Thanks! for sharing. Have a great week!
Blessings & Hugs,
Marlene
I am wanting sconces in the master bedroom on each side of the bed. Love these choices and I love your sitting area.
Hello dear Alison,
What would a new shade do for the old girl? That can make a world of difference...maybe something in a print?...or textured, like burlap or...?

Barbara
Another perfect post. I was going on a search for some bedroom sconces and here you've done all the work for me. Thanks!
The brass shade one has caught my attention.
( I have looked, but cannot find..may you point me in the direction of your Pinterest boards?)
Just last night I ordered the little downward brown sconces with the fabric shade from Bellacor - they are on clearance for 1/2 price - about $94 for both and with free shipping. The shades are only about 6" across, but I am thinking they could be replaced with larger ones plus I could add some gimp with a hot glue gun to "customize" ( a trick a high-end lighting store near me uses to $$$).
