The Holiday Table

The elves are busy helping me to
get my Christmas act together
here at the Polohouse this week.

So I decided to post on
the dining room and living room
all set for the holidays.

But,
I have a huge confession to make...
these photos were taken last year
at this time. My house was featured on
a holiday tour of homes
and the table was all set for the day
for guests to get in
the spirit of the holidays.

Bambi stopped by to check out the tree.

Thanks for coming by
and visiting today.

Once the elves and I get
 caught up around here,
I will snap some pics
and share how things look this week.
(Working full time has gotten me terribly behind!)
Not to worry.... it will get done,
and if it doesn't... then oh well!
Maybe next year.
;)

Keeping it real...
keep on remembering what
Christmas is really all about
and that's what matters, right?

,
LOVE this saying. Taken from Joy at SavvyCityFarmer

I want to thank my dear friends,
Jenn and Marcia, who took all
these photos last year .
You guys are the best!

  4. Alison - Your home is beautiful! Yes, I love the plaid on the table too, and that rose centerpiece is gorgeous! Goes perfect. When you get done with that silverware, pass it my way, okay? You can even send it over dirty.

  5. Love the way you used the plaid on the table. I can't imagine having a house on a home tour-at least it would force you to get everything done very early! I've been catching up with some of your posts. I love your vintage bottle tree collection displayed over your stove. Merry Christmas, Alison!

  10. Well, your table is beautiful no matter when it was! Your home is always so stunning! I love the plaid you've used.
Oh, the New Editor thingy is the place you upload your snaps and write your post. If you go to 'design' and click on 'settings' then scroll down and toward the end you'll see 'select post editor'. I changed to 'updated editor (recommended). They seemed to have worked out the bugs and even though I was scared to try it - it worked for me fine and I could upload lots of snaps at one time. Hope that helps.
    Be a sweetie,
    Shelia ;)

  14. Your table has lots of similarities to the Ralph Lauren NYC store's tree that I saw THIS year and posted about. They must have gotten their idea from you. How cool is that!!!

  16. The tartan really sets off the table with the cranberry glass.
I also have a tartan tablecloth that I use at christmas. I use my small cranberry glass as tealight holders. How do you take pictures of a lit tree. Mine don't turn out.

  19. Hey friend, I know you are working hard but I hope you have time to relax some and enjoy your beautiful home. The photos from last year are stunning and I'm sure your home will be just as stunning this year. We had a 12 foot tree a few years ago and it was beautiful but not so easy to decorate. Yours was beautiful! Merry Christmas to you and your family.-----Shannon
