Favorites on the First
Cada, our black lab, is in the window on the left watching for my daughter to come home. |
My sincere apologies!
I'm very late in posting today,
but
"better late than never"
as they say, right?
Welcome to the
Garden Party!
Hope you will come by and link
your garden posts below to share
with all of us.
This is a milkweed but I like to let them grow because they attract monarch butterflies who love to lay their little tiny eggs on the leaves. Honey bee is busy, do you see her? |
The gardens here are
pretty sad looking right about now.
The hot pink carpet roses bloomed in early July
and are working on their next batch of blossoms
but they just did not pull through for
my timing today!
Even the knock out roses along the sitting wall
have knocked themselves out.
Our hanging flower baskets are so sorry looking
that I pulled them down and hid them.
So that is what the yard
looks like this afternoon.
Cannot wait to see
your
green thumb's
seasonal accomplishments!

ReplyDeleteAlison,
ReplyDeleteYour yard is beautiful. Everything looks so green and lush. I joined the party with flower arrangements, sorry, I didn't get a post finished on my backyard garden, but since flower arrangements are a natural to those that grow beautiful gardens, I thought it might be okay.
Enjoy your weekend.

Alison, I'm back for another stroll. Your outdoor space looks so fresh with the black and white and the white hydrangeas. I think I'll linger on that pretty bench and savor the view. Thanks again for hosting Favorites on the First. I'm off to stroll more gardens.

Alison, Your yard and garden are beautiful. Love your patio with the black and white colors, and the gorgeous crock of hydrangeas. I've not seen milkweed growing here. Did you plant it or does it grow wild? Thanks so much for hosting the garden party.
ReplyDeleteI love the classic lines of your garden! I have an old center hall (1800's) and need to redo front landscape you have the look I am leaning towards!
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing this great post!
