Favorites on the First: China Patterns

Spode's Woodland

Hi there!

Happy September!
 I cannot believe we
are once again sharing our
Favorites on the First.

Normally we share something
that we have that we love,
but this month it's a little different...
a little "wishful thinking"
is a part of your posts.
You can post
your favorite china patterns --
they can be ones you own
or
ones you wished you owned.

Here are the patterns
that I personally would love to own.
Maybe not all of them, but one or two?

Barratt's Staffordshire hunt scene plates

The sky's the limit!
Pretend there are no budget restrictions.
Just share your "ultimate" china patterns
with us. They can be an everyday pattern
or a formal one -- or both!

(And Fabby, I am guessing you probably
have several of these patterns in your
endless china collection!?)

These would be fun for everyday -- from Scully and Scully.

Or these heavy white dinner plates with pewter crests and custom monograms
embedded in the rim -- Regale from Arte Italica.

Just link up your post below
and share with us what lovely
patterns are in your heart.

Coffee Pot & Lid in the Tortoiseshell pattern by Wedgwood China
Wedgewood china's tortoiseshell pattern -- lovely.

Thanks for stopping by!
Invite your friends over to link up too.
And don't forget,
there are 3 days to do so.

English Wedgewood china with cameos and gold trim -- pattern?

Even though it matches absolutly nothing in my home --
I still love the "Tobacco Leaf" pattern by Mottahedeh.
Maybe in my next life?!

Link up your post
on YOUR favorite china pattern
or patterns below! Invite your friends.
You have three days to join in.
Hope you can take part!

Or use the new Add link method ?

  2. I love your Hermes choise. I just got Blue and White English transferware and I'm so happy to mix it with my red one. I would love to have this Lady Carlyle one someday. Thanks for the party dear Alyson. Hope you come by my blog one day. Have a great September Fall.

  5. Alison, oh, I do adore the patterns on your wish list. You need at least one set of hunt themed china for Polohouse. I have some plates in Country LIfe by Churchill and 2 plates and cups with saucers in Copeland Spode Herring Hunt Scene. All found at estate sales as thrifty buys. I adore the Hermes for its simplicity and the Crown Staffordshire for its whimsey. Love anything tortoiseshell, of course!
This was a fun assignment. It sent me to one of my favorite stores to research for my own wish list. ;-)
    Thanks for hosting! ~ Sarah

  6. Love tobacco leaf, my mother in law has a large service for it and I love going over for holiday dinners just to see her table set with it.

  7. Hello Alison, I so hate I didn’t get a post ready for your “Favorites” party. Well maybe it’s a good thing because my fantasy dish wish list could get very long! All of your selections are lovely. I will tell you I would have the Versace Medusa pattern on my list. One of my favorite china patterns is Royal Doulton’s, Booths Real Old Willow. Thanksgiving is the perfect time for this pattern and the colonial look I love.
    Happy September Alison.........

  8. I jumped to your blog from Hyacinths and I love china! I could eat off a different plate each day if my budget allowed! If money was of no object, I would own Flora Danica china! That is on my wishlist. I do look out at thrift stores, antique stores etc for a small piece. In antique stores, it is still expensive even though it is much less than retail. It is the thrill of the hunt that keeps still keeps me looking...you never know!
