| When I saw it, it immediately reminded me of the one that sat outside the spring house at my grandparents' farm. My sisters and I sharpened sticks, and pebbles, and anything else we could think of on it! This one looks just like it. |

ReplyDeleteWhat a treasure the ledger paper is! You know that will be a thing of the past within the new generations coming on. Cursive writing is no longer being taught in our schools and it's such a shame. Nothing more interesting than the swirls and curls of beautiful handwriting. And... with computers, ipads and smartphones, lined paper will be considered as ancient as the scroll. Just a thought to ponder.... Beautiful post and gorgeous vignette.
