Have you noticed ...
shades of peacock blue
everywhere you go?
It is most definitely a hot
trend color right now.
In December, there were tones of teal
and peacock feathers everywhere
it seemed. Lots of holiday tree
ornaments in this colorway.
There were rugs and linens
and home accessories too.
Once I noticed the ornaments,
I started seeing shades of teal
just about everywhere!
How do you feel about this shade?
Are you a fan,
or not so much?
Though it is no where
to be seen in my home,
I do love it!
I like it, I have had a teal dining room ceiling for many years. Richard from My Old Historic House.
ReplyDeleteOne of my all time favorite colors. Love those peacock blue walls!
ReplyDeleteIt IS a beautiful color in my opinion. I have several accessories "wearing" this jewel-like shade...
ReplyDeleteI love peacock blue; but, it just doesn't fit into my color scheme. My friend has some wonderful peacock placemats; and they look so pretty as a part of her tablescape.
ReplyDeleteI like it as it is a good color for me to wear. I have had a bit of it in my house off and on over the years. Maybe I should try a little more!!! Sally
ReplyDeleteYes I love it. In fact I had a shade of this as my couch in the 80's. Now that it's long gone from my house I am finding that I love it again. I did try to think if I could use it as an accent color with pillows or such..
ReplyDeleteI love all the pictures you showed us!
I love that shade of blue. I have a chest of drawers in that exact shade, and I have had it for over twenty years!
ReplyDelete*** I personally prefer the more "royal" blues as compared to "teals", altho it looks nice here! And since teal is NOT a good color for me, I don't have it in my home, either... I DOOOOO really like TB's blue shoes, tho, and am sure I could make them work with a few things I have!!!!!
ReplyDelete2012 Happy Wishes (!) for the new year~~~

Alison, I'm definitely a fan! I love most any shade of blue and jewel tone colors of a peacock are gorgeous in my mind. I love to wear this color, but don't have much of it in our home. ~ Sarah
ReplyDeleteI like to wear that shade but have none of it in either house.
ReplyDeleteI love this color! I don't have it in my home but think it is gorgeous and would love a room done in teal!
ReplyDeleteI like the color but unfortunately I do not have it in my home.

Love teal! Much better than tangerine tango, or whatever the color of the year is called. I believe it is a classic color that can stand the test of time. I do not have it as a wall color, but use it and peacock feathers for accents.
ReplyDeletePeacock blue and a nice mocha brown, that's what I like!
ReplyDeleteWell now that you mention it.....lol. It is a beautiful color, those napkin rings are outrageous...wow! Hope you enjoy a wonderful weekend Alison...I am SO jealous, you got your first snowfall, still waiting over here...tap tap tap:)
ReplyDeleteLovely color but nope none in my home! My daughter loves this color though!
