This old vintage tattered lunch pail
became our Halloween treat box last year.
(Now you know why I have had vintage lunch boxes on the brain.
See yesterday's post.)
My two sisters and I loved watching
The Munsters
when we were kids
and when I saw this last year,
it totally reminded me
of Herman.
So I grabbed a paintbrush
and some silver paint
and made it official.

Hi Alison, Reece's cups and I have had more than my share this week because I am handing them out tonight. Herman's lunch box is very appropriate. Happy Halloween. ♥Olive
ReplyDeleteReese Cups!!!
ReplyDeleteI LOVE The Munsters!!! Herman and Lilly. Cute couple :)
Boo!
I was scared to death of The Munsters when I was little, but I loved Dark Shadows and Barnabas Collins....go figure....
ReplyDeleteWhat a cute idea using the lunch box! I read once that Reese's Peanut Butter cups are the number one candy parents take from their children's halloween buckets and eat themselves! I loved watching the Twilight Zone!
ReplyDeleteHow fun. Happy Halloween. Have a great day and safe night.. Give out lots of candy and Baby Ruth"s. Richard from my old Historic House.
ReplyDeleteAlison, I use to watch Herman all the time too. Loved that show. Great treat box. I just like all chocolate candy, lol. Have a super Halloween. Hugs, Marty
ReplyDeleteLove that lunch bucket. I've had one for several years waiting for some inspiration to hit... anything chocolate, but I'm trying to ignore it this year! Have a fun day! xoxo
ReplyDeleteAlison, what a great way to serve up the goodies! Love the lunch box!! I always go for the Snickers first! Mmmmmm! Especially, the minis!! Just pop 'em in your mouth and savor the goodness!
ReplyDeleteI loved watching the Munsters also Alison! Great idea with the lunch box I love it! Happy Halloween, Martina
ReplyDeleteI love that lunchbox! My favorite treat when I was a kid was Kraft caramels. Today it's mini chocolate bars - not that I go out collecting. I just make sure I buy a good sized bag for the 5 or 6 that come to the door and I get to eat the leftovers. Have a great day! Pamela
ReplyDeleteI love reese cups (the mini's are wonderful too) and 100 grand candy bars. Those are my chocolate pics. For tart candy, I love smarties. See, I can't pick just one. I have such a sweet tooth! This is a dangerous holiday for me.
ReplyDeleteI love it! I actually just got me a big poster made of Herman!
ReplyDeleteVery cute...and I too loved The Munsters! (not to mention all the candy you are giving out...yum)
ReplyDeleteGreat idea! Lovely blog!!
ReplyDeleteAlison this post is too cute. I watched the Munsters! Happy Holloween!
ReplyDeleteAlison, if you giving out my very favorite Mounds bars, I'll be there! Loved the Munster's. What a great idea.
ReplyDeleteThat is so funny! I loved Herman and I really loved Grandpa coming up from under the stairs.
ReplyDeleteAlmond Joy, Milk Duds, Milky Ways and Sugar Babies for me!
For me it's a tie between Mounds and Snickers. Love your lunch pail!!! XO, Pinky
