A Flea Find

Last weekend I went
to the flea market, I know.....
big surprise, right?

One of the things I found was
this sweet little wooden and paper mache'
egg vase or container
--- at least that is what I think it is?

(Any ideas?)

I bought it from my friends
Sandy and Joe at Rhubarb Reign.
They are very popular antique
and vintage treasure dealers from Indiana.
(Let me tell you they have AWESOME
things on a regular basis - they never ever disappoint!)

"She" had the greatest patina.
Chippy paint with a little green and buttery yellow
attitude so sassy yet whimsical
that I couldn't pass her up.
She's about 6" tall, so not too small.

She's cute, isn't she?

Here comes some math....

one small inserted glass of water
+
a couple posies from along the fence line
=

little bit of summer sunshine for your table.

:)

 Happy Summer Sunday!
