Lakeside Lunch

This afternoon
I grabbed a little lunch
and headed to the beach.

There weren't many people out walking at noon,
which is unusual around here,
but the beach hasn't officially
opened in our little town.

It's in the 80's today and
the sunshine made the water
of Lake Michigan
the prettiest color of blue.

The coastline looking north.

Placid water..... not a wave to be seen.

In just a few weeks,
these beaches will be filled with families
and the water will be sprinkled with sail boats.

Views of the beach taken from the bluff above.

 But today,
it is quite peaceful
as spring takes her hold.

Thanks for stopping by today.
I hope you have a special spot
to lunch quietly too.

:)

P.S. I posted this yesterday and for some reason,
it was gone today, as were all my comments
I made on other blogs. Has that ever happened to you?

  5. EVERYthing in Blogger was a mess yesterday! Made me a little crazy.

This is how I like my beaches...what a wonderful way to spend the noon hour. I'm jealous--but at the same time your photos brought the beach to me here. Thank you.

  6. Alison,
Lake Michigan is really pretty. I saw it when I was in high school, but only from the car window.:) I wish we could have seen more of it. It's so blue and your photos are great.
I think everyone had Blogger problems last night. I didn't lose anything but couldn't make comments.I know some lost their most recent post. Hope all is sorted out now.
    Have a great weekend,
