It is September 26th
and little has changed
in the yard
though I am certain the fall
is coming soon.
The days are still warm
and the greens continue
to stay vibrant.
Was hoping to post
on fall colors and plaid by now.
Only one tree in the yard is leaving little presents of the season right now |
But there is
plenty of time for that.
:)
Enjoy your week.

I've been up in your area recently in Naperville and the weather was perfect. Longing for some spectacular Fall weather to get me ready for a productive Nov and Dec. Really excited to see more of your plaids...can Christmas really be only a couple of months away???
ReplyDeleteBeautiful pictures! Your home is so stately. Love those big ole trees. We've seen a few tres starting to change but it's very random. My flowers are clicking along too- the evening temps haven't dropped too far "yet". I started to bring in some fall items like mums and pumpkins. Can't wait to see fall's glorious color display!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful Alison! We are still warm and green here too. The tops of our maple trees are saturated with gorgeous fall color. Just waiting for the rest of the world to catch up! LOVE the view around your home!
ReplyDeleteGorgeous Alison!
ReplyDeleteAlison,
ReplyDeleteYour photographs are wonderful. Your yard looks lovely. I mentioned in IG that the picture of the autumn leaves looks like someone painted each of the fallen leaves...and I guess they (Mother Nature) did.
xo,
Karen
If those leaves are a taste of what's to come, then it's going to be colorful. We don't have a drastic change here, mostly just leaves turning brown or golden. It's the hint of fall in the air that I notice first. The temps drop a bit during the day and more so at night. Getting eager for the full change.
ReplyDeleteHappy Autumn, Alison.
I see a bit of the signs of fall on some of the trees around my area in Oregon but not in full blast yet! My garden is filled with blooms.
ReplyDeleteWe don't have any beautiful color down here in south Texas. Most everything stays green, but my big old pecan tree does loose it's leaves. The temps are slightly lower and we are so thankful for that. Your yard is lovely Alison!

Alison,
ReplyDeleteyour yard is gorgeous, I can't wait till the fall colors make an appearance down here! It's starting to cool off some so hopefully fall weather and color will be moving in soon!

It's a great feeling that you see a yellow garden every day. I feel comfortable and warm even when I stay outside in the cloudy days.
