Equine Antiques and Collectibles

Perfect for the fireplace mantel.

Just found this sweet little
silver-plated
(barely any silver left)
riding boot match holder and striker
 while out treasure hunting yesterday.

This is the second one I have found
in recent months.

My first
was this small porcelain version
that I bought from
Willows
an antique shop whose proprietors --
dynamic duo
Michelle and mother Mame
find the best things and often save
little piles of horsey finds for me
so I can shop their secret stash.
LOVE that. :D

I don't think I have shared it here before.

Sweet!

And then I have this lovely silver match box
that my friend Eric found for me.
You may remember seeing it before?

  1. Alison, your new match strike is a wonderful find. Anytime I see something equine, I always think of you. It doesn't bother me that little silver is left. I like the look because it makes me think of pewter.
Thanks for the links to those fabulous pieces. I'm off to take a look.
    Happy Sunday, sweet friend!
