Just in case
you've never noticed
or clicked on my friend
Susan's blog button
"Romancing the Home"
on my sidebar....
... I want to take
this opportunity
to introduce you to her.
Susan is hands down,
one of "THE" most talented
women I have ever met.
She is amazingly creative
and has the most
fabulous and decadent taste.
Her attention to tiny details
is nothing short of amazing.
Though I have never
admitted it to her,
admitted it to her,
I admired her from afar
for
y e a r s.
(If this sounds gushy,
just look at these photos and you'll get it.
I know you will!)
She's had a store in the area
for almost 20 years,
where she sells treasures - new and old,
paired with a successful
interior design business.
interior design business.
Though I had purchased many items
in her shops through the years,
I had never been formally
introduced to her
her until last spring
when our mutual friend
Joy
introduced us.
Thanks, Joy!
(Susan loves plaid too!) |
Susan is known for
is her over-the-top staging expertise.
Her rooms and tablescapes are magical.

Home tour fundraisers
are very popular where we both live
and you can almost always
count on seeing Susan's creations
at one of the homes you will
walk into during one of these events.
I have pulled
some of my most favorite photos
some of my most favorite photos
from Susan's blog.
I love to see her tablescapes.
Always gorgeous
with multiple layering
and refined details.

One can only stand in awe
when you get to see them in person
because she has the knack gift
of finding details and treasures
to add to the vision
using things
that you have never seen before.
Just magical.

Which is where and how
I made mention of the word
I made mention of the word
"wonderment."
This comes to mind
after you see one of Susan's stagings.
You think about them for days after the fact
and you wonder....
and you wonder....
Where did she find that?
How did she manage THAT?
and then finally...
Why can't my creative brain work like hers!!!!?
etc. etc. etc.
Anyway,
Susan has a fantastic
drool-worthy
coffee table book,
ROMANCING THE HOME ENTERTAINS,
just FULL of wonderful images
different from the ones
I have shared with you here.
And as a thank you gift
to my beautiful followers,
I am offering a
copy of this book as a
Giveaway!
Cannot wait for you to see the pages.
You will LOVE it.
BONUS:
Susan added a second copy
when I told her I was buying one

ReplyDeleteAllison, I am honored to have Susan as a friend and have enjoyed many wonderful events in her home. Every single time she stuns us all with her ideas. Even a casual 4th of July breakfast at her home was elegant. And did you know she is an incredible chef? My home is filled with all the treasures I have found at her home. Every table, corner, and wall decor have been purchased from Romancing the Home. I love your blog!!
ReplyDeletegive me one for being a follower of your blog fer-ever.
ReplyDeletegive me a second for viewing Romancing the Home's blog. Maybe I can get a bonus because yesterday I actually finished reading her blog all the way back to the start. And, her mirrors with words on them are my heart's desire.
ReplyDeleteand, a third for becoming her follower (I might already have been her follower). Who can resist her blog? Or Joy's over at Savvy City Farmer?
