This was taken this morning. |
Do you
find yourself
focusing your camera
on just one thing
in your yard
over and over again?
This was taken two falls ago. |
This was a rainy day taken last year in May. |
For me
it is this old metal
horse bracket.
And again a few months later last summer. |
Last August. |
A foggy evening in the fall. |
And this is what it looked like after a snowfall. |
Kind of fun to
watch the seasons change
behind one constant object,
isn't it?
What do you
focus on?
The cupola is one of my faves too! |
I loved seeing the change of seasons! Hope you are doing well on your side of the lake. I am working full time now and Barb has moved to Florida full time. Life is moving quite fast but all is well! Happy Summer!
ReplyDeleteGorgeous! I loved seeing the seasons change. I pinned your cupola. So pretty :-)
ReplyDeleteThat is really interesting. I guess inside I focus on my china cabinet because I decorate it with the changing seasons. And outside, spots in the yard I guess. It's nice to see the changes around one particular thing. Have a great day tomorrow.
ReplyDeleteI love it- What a great thing to focus on -it has so much character it can stand all on its own but it is fun to see the changes around it, too.
ReplyDeleteI don't think I focus on any one thing...oh...wait...I do- Does SweetCheeks count?;>) xo Diana
The horse is so interesting and says so much about Polohouse! I seem to gravitate towards things I have arranged on my outdoor table at the lake. Whether freshly sliced watermelon or a lantern, it all speaks summer! :)
ReplyDeleteXO,
Jane
mmmmmmm. it's a beautiful object to focus on!
ReplyDeletesmiles to you.

Very unique bracket! It fits your Polo house perfectly!
ReplyDeleteIt looks lovely in every season!
I love your season changes. What an awesome bracket! xo
ReplyDeleteAlison I agree with Yvonne, it looks pretty in every season!! Great shots!
ReplyDeleteAlison, I agree, it's fun to focus on something and see how the surroundings change with the seasons.
ReplyDeleteI'm off to go swing a bit on your post below. I miss our porch swing. ~ Sarah
Alison,
ReplyDeleteI so love that wrought iron horse! Your cupola is awesome, too. These touches are so wonderful!
xoxo
Me
Your horse bracket is great, Alison. It makes for a nice focus piece to show off your garden and the seasons. It looks like it's in the perfect spot, too.
ReplyDeleteGreat pictures. Love all the seasons, so pretty. Hugs, Marty
ReplyDeleteI think I tend to focus on my pups a little much, but I can't help myself!
ReplyDeleteI love your photos thru out the changing seasons. I also tend to get caught up looking at my past photos...
as I'm guessing you did today!
Hi Allison
ReplyDeleteYour pictures are beautiful and yes, I do tend to be drawn to certain elements and keep shooting them... sometimes I wonder if people think I have nothing else to shoot.
Thanks for stopping by, the French Market is open to the public and it is held in Tipton IN at Horton's. Not at Donna's home, she is the event coordinator. I will be posting more on the event
Blessings

Alison,
ReplyDeleteI love the seasons as seen through the metal horses eyes. :-) Yes, I find I take pictures of the same parts of my yard, in my case its a concrete sun dial in my knot garden.
You have such a pretty yard.
Karen
I think I focus on what doesn't have dust on it.
ReplyDelete~Bliss~
I love that horse bracket...I would be focusing on that beauty too! and the cupola..I love it so!...That was one thing on my "wish list" for the house that we did not get to...maybe one day.....
ReplyDeleteHave a wonderful weekend...I love looking at all the wonderful changes of the season....
Cool idea. I sometimes focus on one japanese maple I have.
ReplyDeleteI was hoping you would show it in the snow! I love it in all seasons. Somehow Fall just grabs my heart though. This is NEW, as I get older. Don't know why:):) XO, Pinky
ReplyDeleteLove the horse sign! I tend to focus on an old sign in my garden...
ReplyDeleteAllison -
ReplyDeleteOh, my gosh! The cutline under your first photo says "this was taken today", and I read it to mean that someone took it, as stole it. I was relieved to read on and learn that it was the photo that was taken, not the bracket!!! I love it and I'm sure you would miss it if someone really did "take it". Duh!
