There are so many stylist ways to do so.

Do you have a new, vintage, or
antique footstool?

Found this Victorian horseshoe
shaped iron foot rest
during a recent antique shop visit.
Had to lug it home with me.
(I think anvils weigh less.)

  9. Alison, I'm thrilled to see the footstool. You were right, it was worth the effort to lug home. ;-)
Honestly it was meant to be in your home. How perfect!
We have footstools, ottomans, etc. in most rooms in the house. Not only are they comfy on which to prop up one's feet, they make great places to stack books, magazines, a pot plant, etc.
Now I'm off to visit Barbara.
Have a great day ~ Sarah

  11. Alison - As usual, you've hit the jackpot with your new horseshoe footstool. What could be more perfect for The Polohouse? You're a master at finding just the right accessory for just the right spot in your house. I seriously think that someday you should write a book with all of your lovely vignettes!

  28. Hi Alison:

I have been styling a shop up in Michigan for their opening this weekend (tomorrow) While working there I came across something you need to have. All I have to do is get a hold of you by email and for some reason, I am unable to find your email contact. I have never seen one of these and I of course thought of you. It is a darling horse stable, all white with a green roof. Maybe about 36" long and 7-8" deep. I can be reached at mareb1776@aol.com M.A.

  29. P.S.

All of the lugging you did to get that horseshoe home had to be worth the effort. It is beautiful and so unique. I don't think I have ever seen one!
